Owaisi's Criticism of RSS

Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of AIMIM, has criticized the RSS for what he describes as 'double-speak.' He pointed out that under the BJP government, there have been discussions about implementing a population control law, while RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat recently advocated for families to have three children.

On Thursday, Bhagwat emphasized that every Indian family should aim for three children.

Owaisi highlighted that Bhagwat failed to address the pressing issue of unemployment among the youth, who constitute 60% of the population. He accused the RSS of targeting Muslims regarding population growth.

He stated, 'Now they are suggesting that each family should have three children. Previously, they proposed a law stating that families with more than two children would be ineligible for government jobs.'

Owaisi insisted that decisions regarding family size should be left to individual families without external pressure.

'This should be a personal choice for families. Bhagwat is placing undue pressure on women and misleading the nation. He is not discussing how to provide jobs for the youth, nor is he focusing on making them productive. The RSS engages in double talk and misleads the public,' he remarked.

He further claimed that RSS leaders make statements that benefit the BJP politically.

In his address, Bhagwat mentioned that population growth can be both beneficial and detrimental.

'Our country's population policy suggests an average of 2.1 children. Mathematically, 2.1 rounds down to 2, but with births exceeding 2, it effectively means 3. Therefore, every citizen should aim for three children in their family,' Bhagwat stated.
